About MCCC

We are:

  • A non-profit dedicated to providing housing and food to those in need in Addison County.
  • 750 community volunteers working together to house over 45 people, serve 21,000 meals, and perform 23,500 hours of service every year.

Mission

The Middlebury Community Care Coalition (MCCC) is dedicated to providing housing and food to those in need. We collaborate with other service providers in the area with the objectives of eradicating homelessness, providing safe and stable housing for families, and ensuring that everyone in the community has enough to eat.

MCCC also brings people together. Our volunteers hail from a great range of religious, academic, and professional backgrounds, and our programs give them the opportunity to join together under a common cause.

History and Statistics

MCCC was founded in 2005 in response to critical food and housing needs in Addison County. Our programs have expanded quickly since then. We now have a volunteer base of over 700 community members contributing 23,000 hours of service every year.  Our annual budget is approximately $115,000. We served 20,000 meals in 2010, and housed 30 adults and 11 children.

Leadership

As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, MCCC is run by an elected volunteer board of directors. The volunteer president is Doug Sinclair, and many other volunteers oversee different aspects of our programs. For a list of the program leaders, please see our Contact section.

Our Brochure

For your convenience, we have a 2-page MCCC brochure that describes who we are. (We recommend that it be printed as a 2-sided color handout and folded in half.)
